Dr Abdul Rahman speaking during the DBKU KJM closing ceremony

KUCHING: The Kejiranan Mesra (KJM) of Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) chairmen and representatives are urged to maintain the momentum or spirit of the Komuniti Di HatiKU within them.

Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi said the momentum or spirit should be manifested in a cooperative relationship or mutual assistance as an effort to develop the community in their respective areas.

“I believe all KJM chairmen must have done their best and have a very strong strategy to lead the direction of their respective KJM in line with the aspirations of the Sarawak government.

“Not to mention, the establishment of KJM DBKU itself is in line with the Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s inspiration when he was the chief minister,” he said.

He said this when speaking at the closing ceremony of the DBKU KJM Empowerment Workshop at UCSI Hotel Kuching on Sunday (Nov 28).

Dr Abdul Rahman further stated that the empowerment workshop was seen as the best platform to strengthen the role of KJM.

“This workshop is a platform to help KJM plan the activities in more detail and carefully. I hope that each of the KJM activities planned can benefit the community as a whole in addition to strengthening the relationship and enhancing cooperation between the community and DBKU,” he expressed.
