KUCHING: Individuals or people from Dalat who currently live in Kuching and nearby areas are invited to Majlis Ramah Tamah Aidilfitri Bersama e-DOK on this coming Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 9am to 1pm at Balai Budaya Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, here.

Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Datuk Hajah Fatimah Abdullah said that the event, e-DOK stands for e-era digital, D-Dalat, O- Oya and K- Kut which represents 3 biggest zone in Dalat.

“This is the first time we organise the event in order to reactivate e-DOK group after 10 years which previously named as IDOK as I for Igan that no longer in Dalat constituency,” said Fatimah who is Dalat assemblywoman in a press conference at Baitulmakmur Building, Petra Jaya here yesterday.

She added that  the event is to gather people who are related and from DOK currently working, living or studying in Kuching.

“From this function, we want them to be gather so that we can establish the relationship of Dalat people in Kuching as well as to get them to know each other,” she said.

She added during the event, there will also be a mini exhibition displaying information about five big development projects that are playing place and will be taking place in Dalat.

“Among the project are Melanau Heritage Gallery, Dalat Waterfront, Oya Walk, Pekan Sabtu and Welfare Complex,” she said.

Fatimah said that she also have asked Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg to build another Centre of Technical Excellence (CENTEXS) in Dalat.

“On principle, he has instructed the State Planning Unit (SPU) to look into the suggestion,” she said.
