KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud received a courtesy call from the state-level Malaysia Day celebration committee at Demak Jaya, Petra Jaya on Tuesday (Sept 7).
The delegation was led by the Main Organising Committee chairman, Datuk Lee Kim Shin, who is also the transport minister.
The aim of the courtesy call was to brief Taib on the preparations for the state-level Malaysia Day celebration on Sept 16.
The delegation included Assistant Minister of Women, Family and Childhood Development Datuk Rosey Yunus; Assistant Minister of Tourism, Art and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew and other senior members of the committee.
Lee also presented Taib with an advanced copy of the souvenir programme.
