SIMANGGANG: Pusa and Lingga have been selected as the venues for the Malaysia Family Sales Programme (PJKM) for the Batang Lupar parliamentary this weekend.

District chief enforcement officer, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Sri Aman, Al Redzamani Abdul Razak said it was an initiative to help lessen the burden of rural folk.

“Like previous editions, the public have the chance to buy their basic needs such as cooking oil, flour, sugar and standard chicken and eggs, rice and other grocery items at a cheaper price, by 15 to 20 per cent,” he said on Wednesday (Feb 16).

He added that the PJKM had received an encouraging response, particularly from the B40 income group.

“The basic needs and groceries have reached about RM80,000 throughout the PJKM in Sri Aman and Betong during these past two months.

“Therefore, I urge the people in Pusa and Lingga to visit the PJKM on the day to buy their basic needs and groceries at a much cheaper price.”
