KUCHING: The government has chosen the “MALAYSIA MADANI” logo to serve as the official symbol for this year’s National and Malaysia Day (HKHM) celebrations.

Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication (Utility), Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, said the launch of the logo and theme marked the beginning of the countdown to the National Day festivities on August 31.

He highlighted that the logo’s symbolic representation of ‘the hands raised to recite the Rukun Negara pledge’, along with the incorporation of the Jalur Gemilang’s primary colours, was deemed highly suitable.

“It symbolises the identity and patriotic spirit of Malaysians, who are diverse in race, religion, and culture,” said Abdul Rahman.

He said this during its launching ceremony held at Mydin Petra Jaya today.

Meanwhile, Director of Sarawak Information Department (JaPen), Jaafar Jantan, asserted that the department is responsible for the successful execution of annual National Day and Malaysia Day events throughout the country.

“We have planned various programmes and activities to celebrate the National Month and the Jalur Gemilang flying campaign, fostering a spirit of patriotism and love for our nation,” said Jaafar. He added that the department has developed numerous face-to-face and digital national programs to consistently promote and enhance the love for the country among all Malaysians.

Simultaneously, the ceremony was conducted in Kuala Lumpur, Sarawak, and Sabah to create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the country, ensuring the widespread celebration of HKHM.
