LABUAN: Malaysians dominated the Labuan International Cross Channel Challenge 2019 for all categories – senior, adult and junior – at the Labuan International Sea Sports Complex today.

The 5.4km and 2.7km races from the complex to Pulau Papan and vice and versa was participated by 189 participants from Asian countries, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Korea, England, France, Japan, the Netherlands and Italy.

The male adult category was won by Ngu Jiung Wei from Sarawak, who clocked one hour fourteen minutes and five seconds (1:14.05s), edging Spaniard Jose Luis Larrosa Chorro who was six minutes behind. The third place was won Clement David Leong from Labuan.

The female category of the same was won by Irene Chong See Win from Kuala Lumpur (1:26.30s) while Selangor’s Nur Iman Nabilah Mohd Noor Azlan (1:27.56s), and Neo Hseng Zjue of Johor (1:31.01s) came in second and third respectively.
