SIBU: A 20-year-old man was arrested today for possession of drugs at a house in Sungai Bidut here.
Sibu district police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili in a statement today, said the man was detained at about 9.30am by a team of Narcotics Crime Investigation Division (NCID) here.
“As a result of the inspection on a pink bag in his possession, a transparent plastic packet was found.
“Found inside were 19 transparent plastics of various sizes containing lumps of suspected methamphetamine (crystals),” he said.
Zulkipli revealed that the drugs weighing an estimate of 18.35 grams are worth RM1, 835.
“The suspect was arrested and the case is investigated under section 39A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952,” he said.
