MIRI: A 50-year-old man was detained by the cops here early Thursday morning for criminally intimidating his wife during an argument.
In the incident which happened on Wednesday morning in Tanjong Lobang around 10am, the suspect allegedly attempted to attack his wife with a scoop shovel during an argument.
The man fled the scene when she began screaming loudly for help.
Following the incident, the woman, fearing for her safety, lodged a police report.
The incident occurred at the woman’s workplace.
Acting on the report lodged, a team of Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) arrested the man this morning (Thursday, December 3) in Tanjong Lobang.
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for Criminal Intimidation.
