MIRI: A man was arrested after threatening his wife and children at a house at Taman Ceria, Bandar Baru Permyjaya here.
In the 7pm incident on March 5, the couple got into an argument when the suspect accused his wife of having an affair.
According to sources, the suspect threatened to kill his wife and children.
Concerned for her own safety and that of her children, the wife made a police report the next day.
Acting on the report, police picked up the suspect at 12.15pm last Saturday.
The suspect is being remanded for four days by the Magistrate’s Court to assist investigation.
The case is investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal threat and Section 323 of the Penal Code for willful injury.
