MIRI: A man reportedly attacked his own mother after she told him to do household chores last Friday morning.
During the 9am incident at their house in Lorong Mulia 4 Tudan Phase 2, the 20-year-old suspect had pulled his mother’s hair before kicking her.
The 43-year-old woman later lodged a police report on the incident.
Acting on the report lodged, a team of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel detained the suspect for questioning.
Miri police chief ACP Hakemal Hawari said the suspect was apprehended around 10.30am in the house.
The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation.
