MIRI: A man died after crashing his four-wheel drive into a ditch at KM16, Jalan Perdana Tudan here on Monday.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said that the accident took place at 9.15pm.
“The victim, identified as Liew Thiam Fook, 37, from Kuching, was driving from Jalan Utama Kuala Baram towards Jalan Perdana Tudan.
“Along his way, the victim lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch,” he said in a statement.
Liew was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel of Miri Hospital and his body was taken to the morgue for further actions.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of Road Transport Act 1987.
