KUCHING: A freak accident caused a man to lose his life after he tried to repair his own car.
The accident happened at about 7 pm yesterday when the man aged 62, could not start his car at his own house in Three Hills Park.
He then jacked up his car and slide under the car to see what had happened. While still fiddling under the car, the hydraulic jack shifted out of position causing the car to fall on the man’s chest.
Family members tried to lift the car and dragged the man out. Medics who arrived at the scene pronounced him dead.
The remains were bought to the Sarawak general hospital morgue. Police are investigating the incident.
