MUKAH: A 59-year-old man was killed in an accident at KM5 Jalan Mukah-Oya here last Monday (Aug 17).
Mukah district police chief DSP Jimmy Panyau said during the 7.40pm incident, the victim, identified as Mathew Narawi Jugah, was travelling on his motorcycle from Oya to Mukah.
“Initial investigation found that the victim skidded to the right side of the road and hit a lamp post,” he said in a statement yesterday.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by a paramedic of Mukah Hospital and his body was taken to the hospital’s morgue for post-mortem.
