KUCHING: A man suspected of drug possession put up a fight before being subdued by policemen at a market in Serian near here.
The scuffle at about 11am today attracted a number of people – the suspect was on a motorcycle when he was stopped by traffic cops.
The suspect, 26, from Kg Kerait, Serian refused to cooperate and the two policemen were forced to use force to arrest him.
He was brought to the Serian police station for questioning.
Police also found a packet, believed to contain drugs, on him.
The contents were later sent for testing.
