MIRI: A 63-year-old man had the shock of his life when he found a python, believed to weigh around five kilogrammes, curled up under the dining table of his house in Kampung Haji Wahed here on Friday.
Terrified for his safety, he immediately alerted the Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for help.
A team of four APM personnel dashed to the scene following a distress call on the discovery at 8.20pm.
It took the personnel less than 20 minutes to remove the three-metre-long reptile out from the house safely.
According to sources, the man was preparing for his Friday evening prayers and had just reached the house from Kuala Baram.
