MIRI: A man was discovered lifeless beside his motorcycle in a monsoon drain on yesterday (March 12) in the Riverview Senadin residential area here.
The discovery was made by a homeowner, who promptly notified the police and the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).
Responding swiftly to the alert at 8.41pm, firefighters from the Lutong fire station, led by PBK II Kebing Ngau, rushed to the scene.
Authorities have identified the deceased as Ragana Jodan Ambon, 26, a resident of Bandar Baru Permyjaya.
It is suspected that he may have been involved in a self-accident when his motorcycle veered into the drain unexpectedly.
Bomba personnel retrieved the body from the drain and transported it to the Miri Hospital morgue.
