MUKAH: A 33-year-old man was found dead near the beach at Jalan Mukah-Balingian, about eight kilometres from town on Tuesday (Oct 12).
The unemployed man from Kampung Tellian Ulu here, was married and has a six-year-old daughter.
Mukah district police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the body was spotted by a member of the public at about 5.50pm.
“Initial investigation at the scene reveals that there was no sign of criminal act which could be associated with the cause of death of the deceased, and a check has also been conducted by the criminal investigation department,” he said.
He added the body has been sent to Mukah Hospital mortuary for further action.
He said the case has been classified as sudden death pending results of further investigation.
