TAWAU: A 36-year-old man was found hanged to death at his home in Kampung Tanjung Batu Darat near here today, according to the police.
Tawau District Police chief ACP Fadil Marsus said the man was found hanged with a waist belt from the door of a bedroom by his 10-year-old son at about 8 am.
“Only the man and his son were at home at that time,” he said in a statement.
Fadil said the man’s wife, a Filipina, returned to the Philippines two months ago due to family problems and he had become depressed and kept to himself.
He said the police did not suspect foul play and have classified the case as sudden death. – Bernama
