MIRI: A 36-year-old man started hitting his wife on the head after she asked him to order food delivery because she was rushing to send their two children to a tuition class.
The incident happened in the couple’s home at Jalan Riam around 12.45 pm.
In his anger, the suspect also put his hands around his wife’s neck.
Miri OCPD Alexson Naga Chabu said a team from the Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) detained the man for questioning after police received a report on the incident
The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code and Section 18(A) of the Domestic Violence (Amendment) Act 2017.
