Man jumping over Lutong Bridge found

MIRI: The body of a man who reportedly jumped off the Lutong Bridge has been found today (Jan 23).

His body was found about 50 metres from the last location he was seen, with the discovery made at 4.04pm by the Search and Rescue operation (SAR) team.

Upon retrieving the body, it was seen in yellow attire and short pants.

A team of firemen from Lutong fire station led by its chief Henry Jugah assisted in retrieving the body.

Meanwhile, the authorities are still in the process of identifying the deceased’s identity and looking for his next-of-kin.

The body was then handed over to the police for further action.

Last Sunday (Jan 21), police had received a report filed by a member of the public on a man who was spotted jumping off the Lutong Bridge.

Acting on the report lodged, a SAR had been mounted to locate the man.
