SARIKEI: A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle collision yesterday.

Meradong OCPD DSP Sekam Anoi said the accident involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck at Nanga Strass Mile 2, Jalan KJD here, happened around 3.15 pm.

The victim identified as Keruka Tubeng, 57, from Rumah Rabong, Nanga Strass, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truck driver suffered a broken right hand and is being treated at a private hospital in Sibu.

Sekam said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
