The deceased was identified as Henry Suran, 59, from Kampung Bumbok.

It was believed that Henry was travelling along the road when the motorcycle he was riding collided with the lorry at a traffic light junction at around 9.00am. He died on the spot.

His body was later taken to the Sarawak General Hospital for a post mortem.

Police were at the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.

Meanwhile in a separate incident, a local man suspected of trespassing into two houses at Taman Tatai Kumang, Jalan Demak, was arrested by police yesterday.
