MIRI: The body of a man in his 60s was found at a five-foot-way nearby a bistro at Permyjaya here on Sunday (Aug 23).
A team of policemen rushed to the scene upon receiving an alert on the incident at about 9am.
According to sources, the deceased was discovered by a passer-by who immediately alerted the police and ambulance.
The body has been taken to Miri Hospital morgue for post mortem.
A preliminary check conducted on the premises’ closed-circuit television (CCTV) showed the man had tripped over something and fell to the ground while walking alone around the area the night prior to his body’s discovery.
At the moment, the case is being classified as sudden death.
