MIRI: A man with a chopping knife inside his bag was arrested by the police and Resident Committee (RC) members on Sunday night following a report received about two men behaving suspiciously at a government quarters in Jalan Jee Foh here.
The teams arrived at 10.40pm after responding to the report and managed to arrest a local male in his 30s while his accomplice managed to flee from the scene.
A body search on the man found a chopping knife in his bag.
The knife was immediately seized.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect had worked with a uniformed body but was discharged.
