MIRI: A man was browsing a website looking for the services of a female sex worker on Sunday night when he was cheated of more than RM1,000 in the folly.

According to sources, the man in his late 20s was browsing the website, hoping that his ‘order’ would be delivered through the website after he contacted the website administrator.

However, the man was told to make multiple cash payments before they can proceed with his order.

Surprisingly, the man complied with the request.

He then sent his personal particulars including a photograph to the website administrator.

However, despite several payments made, the website portal still requested for more money.

At first the man was reluctant to proceed but after the portal’s administrator threatened to expose his personal details in the social media, he gave in and made a few more payments.

Worried over the case, the man was forced to lodge a police report at the Miri Central Police station, yesterday.
