KUCHING: A local man who pleaded not guilty to earning a living from the immoral activities of a foreign woman was released on RM3,000 cash bail with one surety on Wednesday (May 19).
The Magistrates’ Court ordered the 49-year-old man to be released on bail and fixed June 10 for further mention of the case.
The accused was charged under Section 372 of the Penal Code, which carries a maximum term of 15 years in prison, whipping, and a fine if convicted.
The accused allegedly committed the crime in a budget hotel at Jalan Song Thian Cheok in the city.
