MIRI: A house in Pujut 2D was damaged after an unidentified man threw flammable substances into its facade on Friday night.

However, no injuries were reported during the 8.20pm incident.

A closed-circuit television (CCTV) revealed that the attacker fled the scene after hurling firecrackers into the front part of the property.

The house owner, in his 60s, after being informed on the incident by his maid, rushed back immediately from the city centre and lodged a police report.

A team of Miri police came to investigate the crime scene.

It was believed that the attack was a threat from a money lender.

The case is being investigated under Section 436/427 of the Penal Code.
