KUCHING: MASwings has announced that it will introduce additional flights to Bario from Miri in response to local community requests.

The flights, which will run from September 28 to October 3, include adding two additional daily frequencies to Bario (BBN) from Miri (MYY) using the DHC6-400 Twin Otter. This will increase the daily frequency between the two destinations for that specific period.

MASwings chief operating officer, Suresh Singam, said that MASwings is committed to meeting the needs of the local community, ensuring that they can travel safely and seamlessly, especially to the most remote areas in Sarawak.

“With these added services, we hope to cater to the local community’s needs and make their travel to Bario for the holy celebration more convenient,” he said.

“We extend our gratitude to the Ministry of Transport Malaysia and the Malaysian Aviation Commission for approving these additional services,” he added in a recent statement.

Passengers can make reservations through MASwings or Malaysia Airlines ticket offices or at any appointed travel agents across the country.
