Matang District Scout Council calls on Fadillah

KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusuf today received a courtesy call from the Matang District Scout Council (MDSC) led by District Scout Commissioner of Matang Abdul Rahim Abot.

Matters related to scouting development such as the annual planning of scout programmes in preparing the scouts in the schools to achieve the various proficiency badges set out in the training schemes were discussed during the visit.

Fadillah who is also the Petra Jaya Member of Parliament advised MDSC to submit its annual programmes proposal to his office for him to consider for financial assistance.

During the courtesy visit, Fadillah also handed a grant of RM3000 for the MDSC to run the scout activities.

Also present were MDSC Chairman Mohd Saberi Sahak, Sarawak Scout Programme Commissioner Abang Zulfikar Abang Zaini, MDSC Secretary Khairool Aziman Tuah, and Scout Council member Mohd Nizam Abdul Kadir.
