KUCHING: A three-member Matrade (Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation) Sarawak visited the office of New Sarawak Tribune (NST) and Utusan Sarawak (US) yesterday.
The team is made up of Matrade Sarawak director Leany Mokhtar, deputy director Trra Banau Gilbert Taylor and administrative officer Haji Mohammad Nazurudin Othman.
They were met on arrival by NST and US Welfare Club president Madinah Ahmad Hipeni and club members.
The purpose the visit is to promote closer ties between Matrade and the two newspapers.
Leany Mokhtar expressed the hope that this cooperation will provide a win-win situation for all parties concerned.
Matrade is among a number of agencies under Ministry of Trade and Industry (MITI) and Matrade Sarawak branch was established in 2006.
