KUCHING: Datuk Wee Hong Seng distributed buns to fathers in conjunction with Father’s Day at Taman Sahabat and the Boulevard blood donation event.
“Father’s Day gives us a chance to let our fathers know that we appreciate them for loving and taking care of us.
“But one should remember that showing love and appreciation is not on this special day only, but every other day.
“Fathers are significant figures in our lives. They provide a sense of security and safety.
“They willingly sacrifice for the family as it is their nature and their responsibility to ensure all is taken care of,” said the Kuching City South Council (MBKS) mayor.
He added: “A father’s love is unconditional. Remember all the things that they did to raise us.
“Despite living in a very tough world, they managed to ensure that we have food, shelter and other necessities.
“Thank you for your continual sacrifice, commitment and hard work. We would not be here without your support and guidance.”
