KUCHING: Sarawak United People’s Party Central Youth secretary general, Milton Foo yesterday showed the new Kuching South City Mayor, Datuk Wee Hong Seng the poor living conditions at Pending Height flats.

Foo said the area had been unkempt for a long time with overgrown grass and bushes along the footpaths in the flat compound. He added the residents were worried about aedes mosquitoes and rodents.

He explained to Wee that the bin centre was sponsored by Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) in 2015 under his initiative.

He was upset by the lackadaisical attitude of the residents because litter was strewn outside the bins.

Foo hoped that the Mayor would think of ways to assist the residents there besides educating on the need to keep the flat compound clean.

With Foo at the scene were MBKS councillors and community leaders.
