KUCHING: Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar welcomes the federal government’s action in curbing the spread of Covid-19 after the recent Sabah state election.

Wan Junaidi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for taking the approach of implementing a controlled action instead of imposing the movement control order (MCO).

However, in a press statement, Wan Junaidi said the country could not have another MCO implemented, with reserves by the government used through the National Economic Recovery Plan (Penjana) and the Prihatin Rakyat Economic Stimulus Package 2020 (Prihatin) initiative.

“We hope that all traders can follow SOP set by the government and the public must also comply with the SOP that has been outlined for the sake of all of us.”

“We will continue to conduct ‘coaching’ training to improve small and medium businesses to continue their business operations during the pandemic,” said Wan Junaidi in a statement on Wednesday (Oct 7).

“All agencies under Medac will continue to have programmes and activities to promote economies in all sectors.”
