BINTANGOR: Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing visited Jalan Kebun KJD, which was reported to have many potholes, to assess the situation.

“The road has many farmers planting various fruits and the damage makes it difficult for them to carry out planting activities.

“I understand the situation faced by them because every year end, there is always rain.

“This orchard road is very muddy making it more difficult for them to come in and out to carry their produce.”

In this regard, he said he would apply for allocation to repair the road.

Meanwhile, eight teams will battle it out in the Institute of Teacher Education (IPG) Rajang Campus Director’s Cup tennis tournament from Feb 10 to 12.

Ding, who allocated funds for the tournament, said: “Other than competing for victory, this tournament is also an important platform for establishing close ties among the participants.”

He visited Rajang IPG on Tuesday (Jan 25) with Rajang IPG director Dr Abang Ismail Abang Julhi, according to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas).
