LIMBANG: The Kembara Sarawak convoy, which was flagged off from Lawas, made a stop in Limbang before proceeding to Miri.

The arrival of the convoy, led by Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Gerald Rentap Jabu, was warmly received by Deputy Minister of Food Industries, Commodities, and Regional Development, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail.

“We are grateful that this morning’s journey from Lawas to Limbang went smoothly. We pray for a smooth and orderly trip to Miri,” said Abdul Rahman during his welcoming speech on Monday.

Meanwhile, Rentap hoped that the public would show support for programmes like this, which are organised in conjunction with Sarawak’s 60th anniversary of independence.

“The aim of this convoy is to witness the state’s development and foster the spirit of patriotism among Sarawakians. It is crucial for our younger generation to pay more attention to such programmes because the progress we have achieved today is the result of the hard work of our leaders and people,” he said.
