KUCHING: The growth of Sri Aman will be spurred with the setting-up of the Sri Aman Development Agency (Sada).
State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian viewed the agency as a vital component to facilitate development in the area.
“This is a very important agency to spearhead comprehensive development master plan for next 10 years.
“It is also vital to coordinate the various agencies as well as private investments (to accelerate growth in the area).
“My heartiest congratulations to the tremendous amount of work by the committee of Sada led by its chairperson Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim.”
He said this in a Facebook post on Friday (Oct 22) when commenting on the formation of Sada, which was launched on Thursday (Oct 21) by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Rohani, when speaking at the launch, said Sada would be the launch pad for greater development progress in Sri Aman Division.
She said Sada was committed in ensuring that every corner of the division would enjoy balanced development.
“Sada has formulated its development mould to ensure a sustainable and holistic direction. The framework is used as a guide in planning development with a sustainable environment driven by economic prosperity.
“The development plan, which is based on the wellbeing of the people and economic sustainability, emphasises six strategic focus towards ensuring that Sri Aman Division will enjoy the development agenda of the state government,” said the Batang Lupar MP.
