KUCHING: The Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Sarawak has received the bronze award for Integrity, Governance and Anti-Corruption Awards (AIGA) 2022.

The permanent secretary for the Ministry, Datuk Antonio Kahti Galis presented the award to its minister Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian during a courtesy call recently.

“Of the 116 entries, only 92 organisations from both the public and private sectors received recognition for their commitment and effort in cultivating integrity and good governance practices at the inaugural AIGA Awards ceremony organised by the Malaysian Institute of Integrity,” it said in a press release issued today (Jan 28).

The best Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum achievements were appraised and given to the winners.

“Out of the ten submissions from the Sarawak public sector, only the Ministry of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government participated; it also received the bronze medal.

The Ministry’s support for the Prime Minister’s efforts to end corruption, revive the post-corruption economy, and improve the well-being of all Malaysians is reflected in this accomplishment,” it added.
In order to maintain good governance, the Ministry and other organisations were urged to work constantly to improve their internal management system.
