KUCHING: The Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication hosted a Hari Raya open house at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) which was attended by nearly 2,500 guests yesterday.
The open house, held on the eighth day of the festivity, was a collaboration between the ministry and eight of its agencies aimed at establishing good relations.
The participating agencies included Sarawak Energy (SEB), Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB), Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA), Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC), Kuching Water Board, LAKU Management Sdn Bhd, Kuching Water Board, and Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (PETROS).
The doors opened at 10 am and the celebration was enlivened with performances of Hari Raya songs while guests, dressed in baju melayu, filled the main hall.
Among the attendees were Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr. Sim Kui Hian and his wife, accompanied by other distinguished guests.
