MIRI: Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) personnel were called to catch two cobras in two separate locations here on Tuesday evening.

Miri APM officer, Captain Mohd Hazle Shah Abdul Hamid said the first operation was carried out at 7.32pm after they received a complaint from an occupant of a house at Jalan Palma RPR 6.

“Three personnel were dispatched to the location and a cobra, about one metre long was removed from the toilet,” he said.

Mohd Hazle said another cobra was removed from a drain in front of a house in Kampung Lembah Hijau at around 9.55pm after they received another complaint from a resident there.

“The two reptiles were caught using special tools. They have been taken to our (APM) office for further action,” he said.
