Miri Division has achieved herd immunity

MIRI:  Miri Division has achieved herd immunity with 80.28 percent of its eligible population of 311,035 people (18 years old and above) fully vaccinated.

This was revealed by minister in charge of the Miri Divisional Disaster Management Committee (MDDMC) Datuk Lee Kim Shin on Monday (Aug 16).

He said a total of 278,804 people or 89.63 percent of the Miri population had received their first shot of Covid-19 vaccines while 249,712 (80.28 percent) were fully vaccinated.

Lee said the figure was based on statistics given by the Department of Statistics Malaysia.
