Miri Hospital conducts successful fire drill

MIRI: A fire drill involving the Lopeng fire station and Miri Hospital was successfully conducted today.

The drill kicked off at 9am, with a ‘fire’ reported to have broken out inside the hospital’s medical record office.

A team of firefighters from the Lopeng station rushed to the scene, arriving around 9.07am.

Their swift action prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby building.

Electricity supply to the office was also cut as a safety measure. 

According to a statement from Miri Hospital, evacuation was done smoothly and proves the readiness of all personnel.

The drill ended at 9.43am.
