MIRI: The Miri Hospital Visitors Board recently donated five special chairs for visitors to the hospital. The donation was handed over by the Board Chairman, Councillor Karambir Singh to the Director of Miri Hospital, Dr Jack Wong Siew Yu.
“These are special chairs, mainly for senior citizens and the handicapped,” said Karambir. He hoped those chairs would be handy to patients or their family members who need them while waiting for treatment or service at the hospital.
The special chairs are being placed at Specialist Clinic 2 (Surgery and Ortopedik), Specilaist Clinic 3 (Treatment), Specialist Clinic 5 (Obstetric and Genecology), Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Specialist Clinic 4 (Dental). Also present at the handing over ceremony were Board Treasurer Chin Haw Leong and Nursing Supervisor Deanna Sandi.
