Miri Rangers win Berimbai tennis title

KUCHING: Miri Rangers emerged as champions when they defeated RTGM 2-1 in the final of the Berimbai Invitational Tennis (Series 1) 2019 held in Miri Sunday.

Miri Rangers took home a challenge trophy, RM1,600 cash prize plus medals while RTGM received RM1,000 cash priize and medals.

Tanjong A & B finished third and fourth respectively.

In the Losers Pool category, Pro- Academy Greensport beat KRSP 12-1 in the final to win a trophy and RM220 cash prize.

A total of 60 players from Kuching, KL, Miri, Bintulu and Limbang participated in the tournament.

Organising chairman Carlson Collin and tournament director Mohd Zaki Pauzi gave away the prizes at Petronas Sports Complex, Miri.

Meanwhile, the next Berimbai Tennis Invitational (Series 2) will be held in Sibu/Mukah.
