Missing car found minus its wheels

KUCHING: A bank officer who lost his car on Wednesday morning found it yesterday morning with all its four wheels gone.

The officer reported his car missing from his house in Jalan Stutong at 8am.

Padawan received a call from a member of the public yesterday informing them that a car was found at Mile 17, Kuching-Serian Road.

Police then towed back the car to test for finger prints. Besides the four missing wheels, the car door was also pried open.

In a separate case, a 24-hour convenient shop was robbed of more than RM1,300.

A 17-year-old cashier was manning the shop when a man wearing a full-faced motorcycle helmet and armed with a parang (machete) suddenly entered.

He then ordered the cashier to give him the money inside the till.

The shocked cashier said after the robber took the money he sped off on a motorcycle.

Police are investigating the case.
