MIRI: An octogenarian woman who went missing in the jungles of Kampung Iran Rumah Ngadan near the Miri-Bintulu Coastal Road on Sunday (April 24) afternoon, was found safe – about 300 feet away from her house inside a plantation estate.

Temah Abdullah, 88, was found by a team of Search and Rescue (SAR) operations team from the Batu Niah fire station led by PBT II Rary Binjie at about 9.17 pm on Sunday.

According to Rary, Temah was found 10 minutes after the SAR operations kicked off.

“The victim was found safe and had no visible injuries on her body,” he said.

Temah was reported missing around 3pm on Sunday after she went into the jungle and failed to return home that day.

A SAR operations was mounted after the Batu Niah fire station received a distress call at 8.44 pm.
