Gorge tells a Bomba officer what happened.

KUCHING: Gorge Tanyi War Prick, 33, who went missing in Bukit Lesung Lingga, Sri Aman has been found in a weak but stable condition by villagers. He has been taken to Rumah Jemat, Menuang Ulu.

His wife said Gorge, an engineer from Miri was found in a jungle at the foot of a hill and taken to a longhouse. He is said to have gone missing after he ventured deeper into the jungle to avoid wild animals.

Gorge was among 18 villagers of Kpg Long Jimbin, Menuang Ulu, Sri Aman who had intended to climb a hill at 7.30am on Monday.

They were divided into two groups but Gorge was left at the foot of the hill as he had injured his foot.

When the two groups returned to the foot of the hill, they could not find him.

Other villagers and climbers then conducted a search but failed to find Gorge.

After a missing person report was lodged, the villagers and members of the group were joined by Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) personnel and other related agencies to look for Gorge.

Gorge’s wife, Menai Noil said her husband had brought along some food, a parang, a torchlight and some medicines for asthma.
