MIRI:   Two four-wheel drive vehicles reported stolen here on Tuesday evening were recovered barely five hours later.

Both vehicles were believed to have been stolen, just two hours apart.

According to sources, the owner of the first vehicle, in his 60s, lodged a report at Miri Central Police Station (CPS) on Tuesday after it went missing at 5pm. He had parked it near a hotel at the Miri waterfront.

The owner of the second vehicle, in his late 20s, lodged a report at the police station after he discovered it missing at around 7pm.  He had parked it at Taman Bulatan.

However, barely two hours after the two reports were lodged, both vehicles were recovered.

The first vehicle was recovered near an eatery in Luak while the other vehicle was found in the city centre.
