KOTA SAMARAHAN: The body of a 61-year-old man who was reported missing at Kuap Bridge last Monday (Mar 15), was found stuck in a nipah palm tree today (Mar 16).
The State Fire Department operations centre said the victim, identified as Chong Siaw Voon, was found and retrieved by search and rescue (SAR) personnel around 10.45am at about 800m from the control post.
The body was handed over to the police for further actions and the search operation was called off.
Earlier, it was reported that the victim had left home on his motorcycle around 5.20am last Sunday (Mar 14) and later that day, police found the victim’s motorcycle, helmet and slippers at the bridge around 9.30pm.
