SRI AMAN: A 69-year-old man reported missing yesterday has been found.
The man who is from Rumah Issu Bangat, Jalan Lidong, Skrang here was found at 2.40pm at a cemetery after a Bomba team came across footprints approximately 100 metres from the victim’s location.
The man, who has a history of mental health problems, was reported to be in weak condition with light injuries sustained on his legs.
He was given early treatment before being rushed to Betong Hospital.
According to villagers, the man was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue shorts. He left his family home at 3pm on July 12 without his family members’ knowledge.
A search and rescue (SAR) operation was mounted yesterday, assisted by villagers as to cover a wider area.
The search was focused on a 500m radius surrounding a nearby river where the victim usually went for a dip.
