Bomba paramedics takes the elderly man to Merapok Health Clinic for a check-up.

LAWAS: An elderly man, who was reported missing after failing to return home from his farm at Kampung Masjid Baru, Merapok, was found safe and sound on Wednesday (Oct 19).

A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department said rescuers and villagers found the 75-year-old man around 4.50 pm.

The man, found in safe condition about 2 km from his farm, was later taken to Merapok Health Clinic for a check-up.

The man speaks to his family after he was found safe by rescuers on Wednesday.

Following that, the authorities wrapped up the search operation at 6.25 pm.

On Wednesday, the victim went to his farm around his house around 11 am but failed to return home in the afternoon.

His family lodged a report at Merapok police station around 2.45 pm.

Firemen from the Lawas station were then despatched to the scene, about 31km from the station, to commence search and rescue work.
